Referee Courses

REFEREE COURSES

To regulate the fights of Qwan Ki Do, since 1982, the Rules of Refereeing have been prepared which contain all the procedures and protocols applicable to Championships and Competitions; the Rules aim to safeguard the physical integrity of the contenders and to allow the proper conduct of the competitive event.

The matches are regulated by an arbitration team, composed of a Central Referee who is responsible for the direction of the match, and two Corner Judges at the edge of the competition square.

The attribution of the score in the Qwan Ki Do fights takes place according to very specific criteria considering that only the protected hand can touch the face, with the exception of the eyes, nose and mouth; foot strikes to the face must be carried out with contact, but with full control.

To promote greater knowledge of the Refereeing Rules and update them as needed, the World Union organizes, through the Referee Commission, in-depth courses for Referees. The basic courses, open to all practitioners, are instead left to the individual national refereeing commissions.

The courses are held nationally and internationally, with theoretical teaching modules and practical exercises.
