Competitions

QWAN KI DO / QKD ACTIVITES / COMPETITIONS > INTERNSHIP AND SEMINARS > DEMONSTRATIONS > EVENTS ASSOCIATIVE LIFE

COMPETITIONS

Various official competitions are scheduled in Qwan Ki Do which are divided into various geographical levels: regional, national, international and world levels.

In addressing the theme of competitions, each teacher must be aware that the competition must serve to train, educate and complete a practitioner, always remaining faithful to the principles of the Martial Art.

The race in Qwan Ki Do occupies a well defined space; it lightens the purely Traditional line, showing the sporty side of our Art, without however ever distorting it with the spirit of a champion.

The competition therefore remains the symbol of friendship, education and union between practitioners and not the symbol of controversy, discord, personal pride, ignorance and debasement of the opponent.

Rather, the race becomes an opportunity to confront oneself, to be able to overcome fears, anxieties and insecurities.

It is also a comparison with other practitioners, to get to know each other, to improve oneself, to respect each other and to share moments of friendship, as well as to be serene and happy after passing the test waiting for the partner, still in tension, to overcome him too.

Competitions are also used by teachers as a moment to verify their method, to understand where their students are wrong and to get to know the character of their practitioners better.
