Giam Su Marcello Perrieri

                             Technique and Co Vo Dao



Marcello Perrieri is born in Milan on 6 August 1960. In 1982, after a long practice of football and having approached karate, he starts practicing the Qwan Ki Do.

In 1985 he achieves the Black Belt degree both in Qwan ki Do and Co Vo Dao (traditional weapons), he then becomes instructor and in 1986 obtains the 1st Dang degree under the guidance of Maestro Massimo Arioli. In that period of his life he gets very close to Maestro Roberto Vismara and under his guidance he deepens the study of traditional weapons. 

His technical skills and his determination allow him to assert his abilities at very high levels in a number of competitions, up to European and World Champion. The practice of Co Vo Dao remains his point of strength. He thus joins the International Demonstration Team and starts accompanying Master Tong and Maestro Vismara in their trips, public demonstrations and promotional activities. 

After having acquired the 2nd Dang degree in 1989, he achieves the qualification of Technical Instructor and starts practicing Tam The, the Vietnamese psycho-physical gymnastic which aims to developing the internal energy. In the meantime, thanks to the experience developed in the Co Vo Dao practice, he is appointed International Head of the Co Vo Dao Commission in the World Union of Qwan Ki Do.  

Once obtained the 5th Dang degree under the guidance of Maestro Roberto Vismara, he is appointed in 2002 as Permanent National Advisor within the Technical Direction of the Italian Union of Qwan Ki Do. In May 2011 he passes the 6th Dang degree examination and in 2021 he achieves the 7th Dang degree together with his inseparable brother of arms Gennaro Grancia.

Beside being Permanent National Advisor, Marcello Perrieri continues to perform the tasks of International Head of the Co Vo Dao Commission for the World Union of Qwan Ki Do and Sino-Vietnamese Martial Arts and National Head of Co Vo Dao for the Italian Union of Qwan Ki Do.

Knight of the Phuong Long Academy, his battle name is Chau Phuc Long, which means the “Dragon of Happiness”. 


Marcello is married to Franca; from their union Marta, Letizia and Filippo were born, to whom Marcello has transmitted the passion for the practice of Qwan Ki Do.
